Goal 15: The nine “target outcomes” include: conservation and restoration of terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems; halting deforestation and restoring degraded forests; combating desertification and restoring degraded lands; ensuring the conservation of mountain ecosystems, the protection of biodiversity and natural habitats; protecting access to genetic resources and the equitable sharing of their benefits; stopping poaching and trafficking in protected species; preventing the introduction of invasive alien species into terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems; and integrating the values of ecosystems and biodiversity into government planning.
THE TARGET
"We should Protecting and restoring terrestrial ecosystems and promoting their sustainable use, managing forests in a sustainable manner, and we must not cut down and burn trees because this harms the environment, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, and stop the loss of biodiversity
